Scholarships for High School Seniors

A scholarship is a grant or payment made to support a student’s education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement.  Scholarships are great, because with them you can go through college for free.  If you are in high school, you can talk to your guidance counselor about scholarships.  Highs school students, make sure you don’t forget to apply for FASFA, during the second semester of your senior year.   Otherwise, you can check the colleges financial aid pages for scholarships.  For many scholarships, you will need to submit an essay.  There are scam websites for scholarships out there, just remember to never pay for a scholarship.  Here are 3 of the most popular scholarships.

Coca-cola Scholars Foundation

Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarships

National Merit Scholarship

There are scholarships for every person out there you just have to be looking for it.  You can get a scholarship for being over 6’2’’, being a skateboarder, or even making your prom outfits out of duct tape.  There are wild and wacky scholarships out there!  My mother just received a government grant to attend a cosmetology school, so she is going virtually free!  It doesn’t matter how old you are, your race, or gender, there are plenty of scholarships out there to help you get some cheap or possibly free schooling.
